This talk was given to club members on December 3, 2024 by Past President Roger Gray, a graduate in Mechanical Engineering from UNSW. Roger worked in his early career for the Electricity Commission, but spent considerable part in the manufacturing industry. In the last 15 years of his career, he worked with CSIRO and ANSTO (Australian Nuclear Science & Technology Organisation)  on collaborative projects with industry, especially at ANSTO with other international organisations on joint technology projects including radioactive waste management. In retirement, Roger still keeps abreast of developments and in close contact with colleagues.
